This is a letter Kurt Vonnegut wrote with tips on teaching at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. My friend Meggan sent this to me.
My favorite bit is where he says Paul Engle talks “like a man with a paper asshole.” I have no idea what that would sound like so I’m going to go around saying it all week.

Kurt Vonnegut’s “How to Get A Job Like Mine”. In which he riffs on Geraldo Rivera, semicolons, and 9/11. A total gem, especially this:
