Basically: this show was pretty much what made high school a livable experience for me. How ridiculous is it to say that a show made life worth living in school? How overdramatic. How high school and ridiculous. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t true.
I’ve been revisiting the series since it’s on Netflix Instant and realizing why it was so important to me. Every time I hear this title music I can’t help but feel “other” like going back to that period where I didn’t so much feel different from everyone else but I felt fucking awesome, that I’m actually kind of a badass, rather than just another guy.
I also realized how affecting Xander Harris has been on my speech patterns, my sense of humor, and the way I carry myself. It’s pretty absurd. I’m such a tool.
